It's official - I changed my first diaper. Somehow I managed to go 31 years without doing one and I can say it wasn't all that bad. Of course, it was only a number 1 and there just isn't that much to wipe and clean. :) And being that it is my own son, it just isn't that gross. Ask me again in a few months when he is having mammoth craps that are going to clear the house... It might be a different story.
We timed out visit perfectly tonight. His CPAP needed to be changed, so we got to see his naked face again. Kristen massaged his head while the gentle giant (Thomas the respiratory therapist) replaced all of the equipment.
His EKG came back and the artery hadn't completly closed, but it doesn't sound like they are too concerned. His feedings are going to resume (1cc every 6 hours). Mmmm, breast milk.
Some good news - he has gained a little bit of weight. He is back to his original birth weight. This may be partially due to his blood transfusion, but it is good to see that he hasn't lost anymore.
That is all for now. Good visit. Time to go feed mom and dad. Didn't eat lunch today until 3 and had a nice long nap afterwards (we needed it).
