1:45pm: Reid had a rough 24 hours and cried our entire visit yesterday. He suffered from a very gaseous stomach and bowels that were not moving. And once those bowels got to moving today, he has been a very happy camper since. :) They had recently switched to 26 calorie breast milk, which makes it a little thicker and probably harder to digest. When we were at Cobb Hospital, he did not tolerate it at all, so the doctors are going to keep a watchful eye on this. But so far today, he seems to be pretty comfortable. We got to the NICU about thirty minutes ago and he is just now starting to wake up. His O2 is at 35% and is sat'ing 97ish. His gas test showed a 57 CO2 and the nurse said that she expects him to be weaned again on the high flow pressures again tomorrow. Not sure if they will go down by one or two liters, but I guess time will tell.
