12:00pm: No changes for Reid during rounds. He has had a difficult morning and cried uncontrollably for about 20 minutes. They have subsequently went back up on the methadone dose that they previously weaned the other day. Seems like maybe they have weaned by too much or too fast? And unfortunately, the doctors were rounding during this meltdown and decided to not wean his flow even though he had a great CO2 gas of 52 this morning. They will reassess later this afternoon to see if he can calm down with the slight increase of methadone. Poor little guy!
