12:15pm: A quick update:

• Reid has been weaned to 7 liters because of his good CO2 gas this morning!! He was on 6 the day before surgery but had only been there for one day.


• They started feeding him 10cc of milk every hour. At 6pm tonight, they will increase the feed to 15cc every hour.


• They have started weaning the hydrocortisone that they started him on the day before surgery. They will start the weaning process of the prednisone again starting tomorrow.


• Reid now has a "big boy" bed. Pictures to come later.

9:00am: Reid is continuing to have his "moments". It is unknown what is causing him to cry uncontrollably - discomfort, pain, hunger, etc? However, our nurse last night found out that if she can race to his bedside as soon as he starts crying, that he is a little more consolable. The longer you wait, the harder it is to calm him down.

His CO2 was 49 last night. This is a really good gas.

We are hoping feeds start today. We will know more after the doctors have made their rounds.
