10:45pm: Still at 100% O2. Nurse said she was about to turn him down to 95% as he was sat'ing in the 95/96 range and then he fell down to about 91/92. We are crossing our fingers that we can make some progress tonight! Kristen is making our cat say his kitty prayers with us tonight.

6:45pm: Success is short-lived in the Elley household these days... the results of taking off the nurcuron finally caught up to Reid and he was back on 100% oxygen. About 30 minutes after my last post, his O2 started creeping up and eventually got up to 100% and they started the nurcuron drip once again. When Reid gets back down to the 40s/50s, they will attempt to remove the nurcuron again. If this doesn't work, looks like the dexamethasone might be our next path, but they are wanting to see the results of the antibiotic first (6 more days).

3:30pm: They took Reid off the paralytic at 9:30 this morning and have had to go up on the oxygen to 63, but I think for the most part, it has been a fairly quiet day. He wiggles around when we touch him, so it is nice to see some movement out of him. Still on the morphine drip and pretty drugged up, so we have yet to see him open his eyes.

They also weighed him this morning and he is 10 lbs 5oz - some of which is water weight and is still puffy. Nonetheless, he has put on quite a bit of weight in the past month since we have been here at Egleston. We are probably going to miss the joys of having a small baby, but the larger he is, the closer we are to bringing him home.
