12:15pm: What we had feared happened. They went back up to 3 liter flow and are going to take another CO2 test this afternoon to see if there is a difference. They are curious to see if they just weaned too fast. Guess our chances at being home in 4 to 6 weeks are going out the window...
11:00am: Reid's CO2 levels were a little high this morning - 73. He had his cortisol labs taken just before, so he may have been a little upset (which can impact the number for CO2). Not sure if they are going to do anything about this, but it makes us a little nervous.
Darn! We were ready to have you all home right away, too! Hopefully, they will figure this out and keep him on a course for a May/June homecoming. Hope you are feeling better, Kristen. love, merry jean
